A cable strap (2) is passed in a loop around the cable bundle (1) via a guide fitting around the outside of the latter and provided in part by a hinged clip (12, 13). The cable strap has a buckle (4) at one end which is secured in a holder (20) displaced relative to the free cable end (8) so that the latter can be inserted in the buckle before tightening the strap. The operating drives for the movable components are operated via respective cam discs allowing slow tightening of the strap with a rapid release spring. ADVANTAGE - Allows use of single operating drive.
