Collecting cumulative analytical sample form flowing medium - at specified and controlled intervals

In a continuous stream of liq. or solid media from which representative samples are taken over a period to be subsequently analysed for specific components, a sample taker (1) is fully immersed and connected by a quick-coupling (5) to an apertured filling device, also immersed. In response to a pre-set controller (3), from a defined starting time samples are taken at regular intervals, e.g. hourly or daily. The sample-taker is also connected to an air-bleed tube (9). When the controller indicates the programme is completed, it also switches off. On release of the quick coupling the sample taken is removed, e.g. for analysis of the contents in a laboratory, and may be immediately replaced by a companion unit. USE/ADVANTAGE - For sewage plant, industrial waste processing etc.. Protected storage of collected sample prevents result falsification by absorption of atmos. O2, or by collected dust etc., as when the sample, are stored in an open channel.
