The two stage amplifier has an operational amplifier (OV) and a transistor (T1). In particular, negative feedback is applied through the base-emitter of transistor (T1) to the converting input of amplifier (OV). A voltage limiter (D1) between the inverting input and the output of the operational amplifier (OV) limits operation of transistor (T1).
