The chain closure comprises a chain link, a pin, a socket, and a track chain shoe (5). It has an upper member (6a) with holes (7) to accommodate screw bolts, a socket insert hole (8), and a projecting effective connection section (12). It also has a lower member (6b) with tapped holes (9) and a pin insert hole (10). The lower member also a recessed trapiezoidal effective connection section (13). The two effective connection sections (12,13) provide a union between the upper and lower chain members (6a,6b). Screw bolts (B,B') are inserted through the accommodation holes (7) and secured in the tapped holes (9), thus holding the upper and lower chain members firmly together. The upper and lower chain members are sepd. from one another by limiting surfaces (11) which are stepped, and the two effective connection sections have inclined surfaces (14,14') which fit into one another when the iunion is formed. USE/ADVANTAGE - For heavy land vehicles, as a closure for endless track chains which does not require the use of special tools for assembly and dismantling.
