The device to transfer a very small quantity of a calibrated sample volume from an external space to a reagent medium in a measuring space has, in a housing bore 2 designed as a sealing seat, a displaceable transfer slide 3 which is provided with a channel 5 which forms the sample volume and is designed as a capillary. The channel 5 is to be moved from a filling position in front of a receiving opening 6 connected to the external space for filling the sample volume into a measuring position in such a manner that at the same time the receiving opening 6 is closed by the transfer slide 3 and the sample volume is, for its emptying, introduced into the measuring space. Joined to the mouth of the housing bore 2, which is directed into the measuring space, is a sealing lip 7 which only comes to engage sealingly and strippingly with the transfer slide 3 when the latter is displaced out of the filling position into the measuring position.
