The invention consists of a compact module, which is detachable from the floating craft, using the principle of propulsion by flippers set in movement by the passenger. It is constituted by a principal framework 1 comprising: an adjustable seat 2, a pedal unit 3, a propulsion unit 4 having flippers set in movement by a connecting rod/crank system 5, two levers 6 for providing assistance using the arms, two lateral floats 7 and a rudder 8. The whole unit is secured to a sailboard float by means of straps. The device is principally intended to provide a new use for sailboards. Other more particular applications may stem therefrom: propulsion of pneumatic appendages, for example, propulsion of boats in a plant-infested waterway or propulsion of specially designed pedalos.
