Method of silage of fodder green after hot pressing and its integration in a process for dehydrating

There is described, inter alia, a process for drying a green fodder integrating an ensiling process, characterised by the fact that it comprises the steps consisting in: (A) heating the plant mass 301 intended to be dried and, where appropriate, ensiled; (B) pressing at 304 the plant mass 301 thus heated, thereby making it possible to obtain, on the one hand, a fibrous press cake 306 and, on the other hand, a serum 305; (C) concentrating the serum 305 obtained in step B; (D) 1 adding the serum 305 obtained in step C to the cake 306 obtained in step B and drying the resulting mixture, and/or 2 subjecting the cake 306 to an ensiling process according to which the cake is placed, for the ensiling, under acidifying conditions by inoculation with concentrated serum which has undergone a lactic acid fermentation or alternatively with lactic acid bacteria, or else by addition of an acid (formic, hydrochloric or sulphuric acid).
