The invention relates to a process for the condensation of at least one epoxide aliphatic having at least 8 carbon atoms in its molecule on at least a cyclic anhydride of a dicarboxylic acid in the presence of a catalyst based on at least one compound of general formula (i) ti (or) 2 (l) 2 in which each of the r groups independently represents a hydrocarbon group having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms, and each of the groups l represents a ligand beta type diketonic or beta type ketoester.
