The invention relates to a light reflector system, for the phototherapy of jaundice of the newborn, the system permitting an optimum reflection of the light emitted by the fluorescent tubes. Each of the reflector elements R consists of a trapezium-shaped part 6 whose face H is painted white, two mirrors 3 and two fluorescent tubes 4 which are superposed and in the axis of each of the reflector elements R. The reflectors R grouped side by side and along a radius A form the apparatus. The device according to the invention is intended in particular for the phototherapy of jaundice of the newborn.
