A cosmetic composition for countering the harmful effects on the skin of chronic exposure to the sun, characterized in that it contains, as an active principle, an essence of sunflower oil cake (Helianthus annuus) which can be useful in inhibiting the photochemical reactions which cause actinic skin aging.
