PURPOSE: To provide a highly biological compatibility between an implant and a bone surrounding it by adhering an oxide layer on the base of the implant by high vacuum plasma coating, and adhering calcium hydroxyapatite layer on the oxide layer. CONSTITUTION: The oxide of a heat resisting metal is preferably used to form an oxide layer, and titanium, zirconium, hafnium, niobium, tantalum, tungsten or molybdenum is used. An implant 10 to be fixed to a bone is formed on the basis of, for example, titanium or titanium alloy, cobalt, bromine or molybdenum alloy, or an optional other metal or metal compound or alloy. Using the heat resisting metal, a first oxide layer 11 is formed by means of vacuum plasma coating. Then, a second layer 12 formed of calcium hydroxyapatite is formed on the layer 11. Namely, a surface integrally fused to the bone surrounding the implant, when inserted, is formed on the implant.
