PURPOSE: To provide a novel preparation method of N,N,N',N'-tetraglycidyl-3,3'- dialkyl-4,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane. ;CONSTITUTION: 3,3'-Diethyl-4,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane is reacted with an excess amount of epichlorohydrin, and then tetramethylammonium chloride (a phase transfer catalyst) and sodium hydrogen carbonate are added. The excess epichlorohydrin is distilled while being circulated and at the same time the dehydrochlorination is carried out with the addition of an aqueous sodium hydroxide solution and simultaneous removal of the water distilled off azeotropically to obtain a product. Thus, a highly glycidylated product is obtained in high yield with high purity.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO
