TWISTING AND LAYING METHOD FOR SELF-SUPPORTING CABLE

PURPOSE:To safely twist a self-supporting cable by mounting a roller capable of passing a cable twisting and inserting tool formed in a twisted state on a outer periphery mounted at the end of the cable while twisting, on each pole, and pulling a messenger wire. CONSTITUTION:A messenger wire 1 connected to the end of a self-supporting cable 20 wound on a drum 6 through a twisting and inserting tool 11 is pulled by a winch 10 of the other end of a cable extending zone, and extended. The tool 11 is formed at one end with a stationary hole 12 for inserting the cable 20 to be secured, twisted on the way to twist the cable 20, and at the other end with a securing part 13 of the wire 1. The initial pole of the cable extending zone is hung by hanging a No. 4 snatch block 9 by a hanger 7, and the other poles are all hung by square rollers 14 capable of passing the tool 11. Each time the tool 11 passes the rollers 14, the cable 20 is twisted. Thus, a dangerous twisting work at a high place is eliminated to efficiently perform a cable extending work.
