ALTERING OF BONE DENSITY INSPECTOR FROM INSPECTING POSITION AT FRONT AND REAR OF PATIENT'S BODY TO THAT AT SIDE THEREOF

PURPOSE: To provide a method for changing bone density examination facility between a position where bone density is checked in front of and at the back of a patient and a position where it is checked from his side by moving a circular yoke 8 which supports an X-ray tube 4 and a radiation detector 7. CONSTITUTION: The oscillation 29 of a circular yoke 8 is permitted only when the circular yoke 8 comes into contact with an end part, and the circular yoke advances in parallel in the crossing direction after the oscillation movement is stopped. A bed 3 itself on which a patient lies is lifted when the inspection from his side is conducted. It is possible to maintain a position of an X-ray tube for a detector at a fixed position which is adjusted.
