CONTROLLING METHOD FOR LETTING-OUT OF MEDIUM IN FORM OF PASSBOOK AND CERTIFICATE

PURPOSE:To make reading and writing of data corresponding to a medium in the form of passbook or certificate possible and to improve therewith processing capacity of an issuing machine by a method wherein a gap through which the passbook or the certificate is delivered is set with a let-out gap forming part after detection is made on the passbook or the certificate in a medium letting-out section with a medium detection section, and the medium in the form of the passbook or the certificate in a hopper part is inputted from a transfer part. CONSTITUTION:A medium letting-out section 1 is composed of a hopper part 11 in which media in the form of passbooks and certificates are stacked for serial processing of inputting for the said passbooks or the certificates, a let-out gap forming part 12 which forms a gap through which the said certificates or the passbooks are delivered by each one processing unit, and a transfer part 13. A medium detecting section 2 classifies the passbooks or the certificates stacked in the hopper part 11 into groups in accordance with specified shapes, and information regarding the result of said classification is transmitted to a control section 3. As signals for reading of the medium in the form of the passbook or the certificate are outputted from the control section 3 to the transfer part 13, a value to be made by the let-out gap forming part 12 is set, in accordance with the aforementioned information regarding the classification, for passing of the passbook or the certificate. Then either of reading or writing of data determined by said classification is made from or to the passbook or the certificate concerned.
