PURPOSE: To obtain a phased array using optical mutual connection for each reception circuit thereof, by providing optical fiber real-time delay circuits responding to an electric RF signal for supplying a light signal having a controlled time delay. CONSTITUTION: A radar system has a radar processor 11 and a radar display 13 responding to the processor. The processor 11 controls an RF excitation source 15 of which an output is supplied to an RF amplifier 17. An output of the amplifier 17 is divided by an RF dividing circuit 19 which supplies an RF input to a plurality of optical fiber real-time delay circuits 21. A light output of each circuit 21 is coupled to each reception array module 25 through each optical fiber cable 23. The module 25 is coupled to each antenna element 27. An optical fiber cable 29 is used for communication of a control signal transmitted in a multiple manner to the module 25 from the processor 11, while an optical fiber cable 31 is used for communication of a received digital signal sent to the processor 11 from the module 25.
