MESSAGE CUEING BETWEEN COOPERATING PROCESSORS HAVING LARGE SPEED DIFFERENCE

PURPOSE: To mutualy and simultaneously add messages between processors by executing the dequeuing operation of a message by a subsystem and the enqueuing operation of messages in respective lists by a processor or the subsystem. CONSTITUTION: A task or a request is defined by a control block called as a synchronizing direct access storage device control block (DAS) or a subsystem control block (DCB) and processors 5, 7, 9 in a host 1 construct the DAS and the DCB in an internal memory 13. The host 1 connects the DCB to a DAS stand-by queue and outputs an enqueuing operation signal. Then the DAS transfers the DCB to a list of an active state, executes a function requested by the DCB, updates the DCB, and inputs the updated DCB to an end queue. Then the DAS dequeues an I/O end queue and checks the result of operation specified by the DCB.
