PURPOSE: To obtain a material which ensures an easy formation of a hard magnetic phase and esp. enables the manufacture of an anisotropic compact Sm-Fe-N molding having a high coercive force of over 5kV/cm such as permanent magnets, in a process of manufacturing hard magnetic magnet material molding based on an Sm-Fe-N system. CONSTITUTION: A prim. powder product is compacted at high temps. to form a press molding having an Sm-Fe phase magnetically isotropic structure, the press molding is converted in a high temp. directivity changing stage into a half-finished product 8 having an Sm-Fe phase magnetically anisotropic structure and finally heat treated in an N atmosphere for adjusting an Sm-Fe-N hard magnetic phase.
