PURPOSE:To prevent both damage of grains and uneven wear of husking rolls by transferring regulation of the gap of husking rolls to load current control from husking ratio control when the prescribed husking ratio higher than the standard husking ratio is set by a husking ratio setting switch. CONSTITUTION:Husking ratio is detected by a husking ratio sensor 26 during rice husking and sorting work. The gap of husking rolls 3, 3 is controlled on the basis of the controlled reference husking ratio. Further, when the preset husking ratio is changed over to the husking ratio higher than the standard ratio (e.g. 85%) by a husking ratio setting switch 36, regulation of the gap of the husking rolls 3, 3 is changed over to load current control due to a load current sensor 32 from husking ratio control due to the husking ratio sensor 26. Load current value of the husking rolls 3, 3 is detected by the load current sensor 32 and compared with the controlled reference load current value. When this detected load current value is deviated from the controlled reference load current value, rice husking and sorting work is performed while regulating the gap of husking rolls 3, 3 so that the detected load current value is reset to the controlled reference load current value.
