摘要

PURPOSE:To produce a substance capable of promoting the eclosion of egg of potato cyst nematode and effective for the extermination of potato cyst nematode in high production efficiency by culturing the root of a plant of family Solanaceae in a medium containing a specific nitrate ion. CONSTITUTION:Root of a plant of genus Solanum, Lycopersicon, etc., family Solanaceae is cultured in a medium containing 10X10-3 to 100X10-3N of nitrate ion and free from ammonium ion at 10-35 deg.C, preferably 23-28 deg.C to obtain the eclosion-promoting substance for potato cyst nematode accumulated in the root after or during the cultivation. The preferable amount of cultivation root planted to the medium is usually about 10mg to 10g of the root (in terms of fresh weight) based on 50ml of the liquid medium.
