METHOD FOR INNOCENCE TREATMENT OF ALUMINUM DROSS

PURPOSE:To permit the innocence treatment of Al fine dross by drying slurried dross obtd. by adding a specified amt. of warm water to Al fine dross, holding its temp. to a specified one, executing stirring and mixing, allowing this dross to stand and settling it. CONSTITUTION:Al fine dross is fed from a storage hopper 1 to a tank 2, and warm water by 100 pts.wt. to the fine dross 10 pts.wt. is fed from a boiler 9 to the tank 2. The mixed liquid in the tank 2 is stirred and mixed for =3hr by a stirrer 3 under holding to 80 deg.C by a heater 4 and is thereafter allowed to stand and settle for about =30min. The settled slurried dross is fed to a solid-liquid separator 7 by a pump 6, where moisture is separated from the dross in some degree. After that, finally, moisture is completely removed by a drying equipment 8 to obtain dross 16 subjected to detoxicating treatment. In this way, the dross 16 free from the generation of secondary pollution even in the case it is disposed of can be formed.
