PURPOSE: To inexpensively provide a push button assembly proof against rough operation. CONSTITUTION: First shoulders 5 and 5' of guide rings 4 and 4' are operatively linked to retaining rings 7 and 7' engaging first ring-shaped grooves 6 and 6'. The guide rings 4 and 4' are retained in the opening of a mounting plate 1, and are aligned with one of openings in a front plate. Push buttons 13 and 13' are slidably extended into the guide rings 4 and 4'. When one of switches is operated, second shoulders 15 and 15' over the push buttons 13 and 13' are engaged with retaining surfaces 12 and 12' to prevent the push buttons 13 anal 13' from advancing further in the operating direction. The push buttons 13 and 13' are pushed forwardly to a stopping position with elastic force generated in the switch. Then, springy clips 17 and 17' engaging second grooves 16 and 16' in the push buttons 13 and 13' abut on one end of the guide rings 4 and 4'. The push buttons 13 and 13' cooperate with the guide rings 4 and 4', thus forming seamless spherical surfaces 18 and 18' in the front plate.
