PURPOSE:To discriminate color up to a level close to the sensitivity of human eyes by providing a photoelectric material having a maximum sensitivity in a prescribed spectrum in the system in which the light is dispersed into red, blue and green and photoelectric-converted. CONSTITUTION:For example, a P-well structure is adopted for a silicon group photosensing element and the sensitivity in blue and green colors is increased at a narrow band and an amorphous group photosensing element is used to increase the sensitivity for a red color and since an excellent spectrum result is not obtained from the sensitivity characteristic of the element only, the optical system comprising a lens L, a blue pickup element B, a read pickup element R and a green pickup element, a dichroic mirror BD for blue reflection and a dichroic mirror RD for red reflection as shown in figure is used. Thus, a sensor close to human eyes is formed and applied to medical and industrial applications with stable S/N being impossible by a conventional color system.
