PURPOSE:To surely make a green sand mold and to reduce molding cost by controlling the action of a feeder based on weight and compressed characteristic measured with a load cell and a measuring instrument and making the total weight of the molding sand proper. CONSTITUTION:A molding sand total weight adjusting device 14 obtains the suitable total weight of molding sand 7 in the case of molding the green sand in a flask 4 based on the preinputted table data through signal for showing the present weight of the molding sand 7 supplied in a sand receiving hopper 6 outputted from a load cell 13, signal for showing the present compactibility value of the molding sand outputted from a measuring controller 16 and signal for showing the kinds of casting products outputted from a controller 2 in a molding machine 1. Successively, based on the preinputted sand weight correcting graph, sand wt. correcting value is obtd. from the compactibility value of the present molding sand 7 and the pre-obtained suitable total weight on the molding sand 7 is corrected and the suitable weight is obtd. according to the kinds of the casting products to the sand mold with present compactibility value.
