ZIRCONIUM MATERIAL EXCELLENT IN CHASING PROPERTY AND ITS PRACTICALLY APPLIED PRODUCT

摘要

PURPOSE:To produce a zirconium material easy of working and having superior chasing property by incorporating specific amounts of oxygen into zirconium. CONSTITUTION:An ornament member excellent in chasing property can be obtained by preparing a zirconium material having a composition consisting of =400ppm oxygen and the balance zirconium with accompanying impurities (N, C, Fe, Ni, Cr, Al, K, Na, etc.). Further, wear resistance and ornamental property can be improved by forming a hard layer (nitride layer, oxide layer) of =500 Vickers hardness at least on a part of surface of this material to 0.5-5mu thickness.
