CONVERSION METHOD FOR FILE INCLUDING JAPANESE LANGUAGE AND ALTERNATE SYMBOL

PURPOSE:To present a method for code conversion between the EBCDIC and ASCII codes corresponding to the Japanese language and alternate symbols and a line feed processing method with respect to the conversion processing method of a text file including the Japanese language and alternate symbols. CONSTITUTION:These methods consist of a means which detects the code of the first Japanese-language character of a Japanese-language character string in the text and that of the last Japanese-language character of this Japanese- language character string, a means which converts a series of codes expressing the Japanese language from the first Japanese-language character to the last Japanese-language character to a series of codes expressing equivalent Japanese- language characters, and a means which performs the line feed processing in accordance with a preliminarily determined pattern.
