GROWTH ACTIVATING AGENT OF CROP FOR AGRICULTURE AND HORTICULTURE AND METHOD FOR REDUCING PHYTOTOXICITY BY HERBICIDE

PURPOSE:To obtain a growth-activating agent containing a water soluble vitamin K3 derivative such as menadione sodium hydrogensulfite as an active ingredient and capable of reducing phytotoxicity by herbicide for crops by applying the agent before or after application of herbicide or together with application thereof. CONSTITUTION:The aimed growth activating agent obtained by directly using a water soluble vitamin K3 derivative (e.g. menadione sodium hydrogensulfite (e.g. menadione potassium hydrogensulfite, menadioldiphosphoric ester tetra sodium salt or 4-amino-3-methyl-1-naphthol.hydrochloride) or preparing the above-mentioned derivative in a form of powder, emulsion, hydrate, liquid or spray. The aimed agent is used e.g. by a method forming the agent into a powder coating agent using a diluent and coating a seed with the powder coat ing agent or method dipping a seed into the agent dissolved in a diluent such as water or method applying the agent to soil or crop before or after application of herbicide and can reduce phytotoxicity by the herbicide.
