PURPOSE:To easily execute numerical simulation even for a user having no knowledge to mathematics or numerical calculation by providing guidance based on data base retrieval to a numerical simulation system. CONSTITUTION:A mathematical model generation processing 18 calculates a physical feature amount from a physical model 11 composed of information such as an area shape, material name, physical phenomenon name and contour condition name or the like inputted by a user and retrieves a suitable equation from an equation data base 15 based on the feature amount. A calculation model generation processing 19 detects the mathematical feature of the obtained equation and selects a calculation order suitable for solving the equation from an algorithm data base 16. A simulation information generation processing 20 selects a simulation package, which can solve an applied physical problem, from a simulation package data base 23 by using the selected algorithm and generates simulation information 21 to the package.
