METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TEST OF JAPANESE SYLLABARY-CHINESE CHARACTER CONVERSION

PURPOSE:To detect malfunction caused by KANA (Japanese syllabary)-KANJI (Chinese character) conversion without preparing inscriptions for malfunction detection as to a test of the operation of a Japanese input device. CONSTITUTION:A KANA-KANJI conversion part 103 converts a reading obtained from a correct reading answer inscription storage part 101 into plural inscriptions by using a dictionary 102 for KANA-KANJI conversion. A KANA- KANJI conversion part 105 reconverts the inscriptions obtained by the conversion into plural readings corresponding to the respective inscriptions by using a dictionary part 104 for KANJI-KANA conversion. A reconversion result comparison part 106 checks whether or not there is a reading equal to at least one original reading in the reconversion of the respective inscriptions obtained by the KANA-KANJI conversion part 103 and decides that malfunction is generated when an inscription which does not correspond is detected.
