METHOD FOR PREPARING STEEL MATERIAL SAMPLE FOR ELEMENT ANALYSIS AND STEEL MATERIAL CUTTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To obtain the cutting device which is free from an analytic error due to sample preparation by cutting a steel material sample of soft steel by a circular sawing machine which uses a super hard chip cutting blade while rotating the steel material sample. CONSTITUTION:A sample preparation device 3 has a chuck 5 for chucking the steel material sample 1 on a base 4 and is provided with a steel material holding and rotating device 6 which consists of a motor for rotating the steel material sample 1 chucked by the chuck 5 continuously or intermittently, a speed reducer, and a brake. The steel material sample 1 is set on this steel material holding and rotating device 6, continuous or intermittent rotation is selected and set, and the steel material sample 1 is rotated. The circular sawing machine 8 equipped with a circular saw 7 using the super hard chip as its cutting blade is provided adjacently to the steel material holding and rotating device 6. The circular sawing device 8 whose circular saw 7 is put in operation is moved forward at a set speed to cut the steel material sample 1.
