POWER GENERATION SYSTEM BY COLLECTING MAGMATIC HEAT AT CRATER BOTTOM

PURPOSE:To directly collect volcanomagmatic heat, by arranging heat-collecting pipings in a block form along a bottom wall of a crater in a safety zone outside the danger of eruption. CONSTITUTION:Two main pipings, one leading to a downward joint for a condensate supply pipe 9 and the other to an upward joint for a thermal evaporation pipe 10, are arranged horizontally at an upper part of a heat-collecting block 16 disposed at a crater bottom 3. Double-walled pipes, each having a condensate descending pipe 9 in the center and a heating ascending pipe 10 on the outer side, are grouped on a block basis, and are connected to the upper main pipings. A lower part of the heat-collecting block 16 is tentatively fixed to the crater bottom 3 by a support 11, and an upper part is fixed to a crater top by suspending wires 21. For connecting the upper horizontal main pipings (9, 10) at the bottom wall 4 of the crater to each underground safety heat-insulated room 7 by piping, the horizontal main pipings (9, 10) are provided with service pipes from a basement branch 13 to 7, thereby connecting the piping system to a skeleton piping in a power generation equipment. The whole system is operated under control.
