摘要

PURPOSE:To manufacture an Fe-Al base alloy excellent in high temp. oxidation resistance by making Fe-Al base alloy powder having an irregular BCC structure from specified rations of Fe powder and Al powder by mechanical alloying treatment, subjecting this powder to compacting and plastic working, thereafter executing heat treatment and forming its structure into a B2 one. CONSTITUTION:Fe powder and Al powder are blended so that 20 to 55 at% Al and the balance Fe will be regulated, and this blended powder is subjected to mechanical alloying treatment to prepare Fe-Al base alloy powder having an irregular BCC structure and excellent in plastic workability. Next, this alloy powder is subjected to compacting and plastic working at about =420 deg.C into a prescribed shape and is subjected to heat treatment at about =450 deg.C to form its structure into a B2 one. In this way, the Fe-Al base alloy excellent in oxidation resistance at a high temp. can be obtd.
