PURPOSE:To surely perform relatively high power transmission by forming frictional contact surfaces of an annular rigid member and an annular elastic member disposed inside the rigid member into a conical or hourglass shape, and pressing the rigid member in the axial direction thereof by means of a pressing member such as a coil spring. CONSTITUTION:Upon rotation of a wave generator 5 at a high speed, a contact position of a conical surface 4a of an elastic member 4 with a conical surface 3a of a rigid member 3 disposed at both apsides is shifted toward the circumferential direction. As a result, relative rotation according to a difference in circumference in the center of the contact between the conical surfaces 3a and 4a is generated between the elastic member and the rigid member. The relative rotation is transmitted as deceleration output rotation from an elastic inner ring 4 toward a driven member 2. Furthermore, because the conical surfaces 3a, 4a are kept to be pressed by constant pressing force of a coil spring 9, they are held in a secure contact state all the time. Therefore, it is possible to always realize a stable power transmission.
