CACHE DATA REPLACE METHOD AND CACHE DATA REPLACE DEVICE FOR CACHE MEMORY

PURPOSE:To improve the throughput of a multiprocessor system using a cache memory by reducing the waiting time of a processor by decreasing the number of times for transferring data between the cache memory and a main storage device at this system. CONSTITUTION:Replace memories 24 and 25 are provided to store history data for each block as a unit in the case of replacing cache data, and the respective replace memories store data showing the history of update and replace. Further, the data in this replace memory are reloaded even by an access state from another processor as well. In the case of replacing the cache data, the bit of the history data is discriminated, the block not updated, replaced or accessed from the other processor is preferentially replaced.
