CYLINDRICAL CULTURE MEDIUM FOR REARING PLANT AND METHOD FOR REARING PLANT USING THE SAME CULTURE MEDIUM

PURPOSE:To obtain a lightweight and readily handleable cylindrical culture medium for rearing a plant by surrounding the outer periphery of each cylindrical net with a cylindrical member of a spongy material, closing the lower part with a plug of the spongy material and then filling a substance required to rear the plant in the hollow part. CONSTITUTION:The outer periphery of each cylindrical net 32 is surrounded with a cylindrical member 31 composed of a spongy material and an opening on the base side of the hollow part in the net is similarly closed with a plug 34 composed of the spongy material. A substance required to rear a plant is filled in the aforementioned hollow part to form a cylindrical culture medium 3 constructed therefrom. One or more of the above-mentioned cylindrical culture media are arranged in a flowerpot 1 and one or more columnar culture media 4 composed of the spongy material are simultaneously arranged to form a culture medium 2 for rearing the plant. A plant (P) is reared using the resultant culture media.
