PURPOSE:To smoothly exclude tea branches and leaves in the case of branch pruning operation by directing part of a blowoff stream to the skirt part of a pruning off plate. CONSTITUTION:When an engine is started, an impeller of a blower 7 is rotated to start blowoff of air from a blowoff base part 26. When rotation is increased to a prescribed rotational speed or above, a shoe in a centrifugal clutch is pressed to a clutch drum by centrifugal force to rotate the clutch drum and carry out driving of cutting blades 5. The pruned tea branches and leaves are temporarily stored on a pruning off plate 6, but successively and positively removed so as to be blown away with a blowoff stream (W) from the blower 7. Especially, in the case of branch pruning operation on tea ridges on a hillside, even if the side of the engine in a branch pruner 1 is located in the lower part to perform operation, the blowoff stream is effectively blown directing to the skirt part of the pruning off plate. The tea branches and leaves stored in the skirt part are also completely blown away.
