BIS((DIPHENYLPHOSPHINO)PHENYL)CYCLOPENTANE DERIVATIVE AND COMPLEX CONTAINING THE SAME AS LIGAND

NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formula I (R1 is phenyl having 1-3 groups selected from the group consisting of halogen, lower alkyl and lower alkoxy). EXAMPLE:1,2-Bis(3-chlorophenyl)cyclopentane[(+ or -)-5a]. USE:A catalyst for hydrogenating reaction of ketones or alpha-acylaminoacrylic acids, etc. PREPARATION:A cinnamic acid ester derivative expressed by formula II as a starting material is subjected to reductive coupling reaction to afford a compound expressed by formula III. The ester group of the resultant compound expressed by formula III is then hydrolyzed to remove the carboxyl group by decarboxylation and provide a compound expressed by formula IV. The carbonyl group of the obtained compound expressed by formula IV is subsequently reduced into methylene group to afford a compound expressed by formula V, which is then lithiated and a phosphinohalide derivative expressed by the formula (R1)2PX is further added and reacted therewith.
