DISCHARGE VOLTAGE SENSING/ALARMING DEVICE FOR NI-CD BATTERY

PURPOSE:To make perfect maintenance of a NiCd storage battery by informing the user of eventual generation of memory effect in an electric discharge curve with an alarming tone. CONSTITUTION:When a NiCd storage battery 1 is to be discharged, the discharge voltage is sensed by a voltage sensing circuit 5 upon passing through a discharge current sensing circuit 4. and the capacity is sensed by a timexcurrent capacity sensing circuit 6, and the discharge curve is calculated by a control circuit 7 cumulatively. This discharge curve is applied to a standard discharge curve, and an alarm signal is given to an alarm circuit 8 from the control circuit 7 at the pre-stage where a stepping phenomenon (part A in Fig. 2) is anticipated to occur, and the user is informed of it by the alarm circuit with an alarming tone.
