PURPOSE:To make the threading and unthreading of a magnetic tape secure and to miniaturize the mechanism by composing the mechanism of a link mechanism, which is composed of two arms, guide groove and elastic mechanisms provided at the arms. CONSTITUTION:An elastic mechanism 19 composed of a spring 19a is provided at an arm 17a for threading, and on the top plate of an arm 18a, a bearing to be moved and rotated along a guide groove 5b is provided at the coaxial position of a pin 8 for pulling out a reader block 3. For the arms 17a and 18a, the total length is set longer than a linear distance from the rotational center of the arm 17a to the housing position of the reader block. Thus, adverse influence when housing the reader block can be relaxed, and large housing force can be obtained with a small rotational torque. Therefore, the reader block is housed in a cartridge without fail, and the mechanism can be miniaturized.
