CONNECTION STRUCTURE FOR RAIN GUTTER AND RAIN GUTTER JOINT

PURPOSE:To concurrently absorb the thermal expansion/shrinkage of a rain gutter and stop water by overlapping a rain gutter joint made of a high-water absorption resin layer reversibly having the volume expansion property when it absorbs water and eaves gutters inserted inside it. CONSTITUTION:A trough-shaped section 12 and bent ear sections 14 at both ends are provided on a rain gutter joint 10 slightly larger than eaves gutters A, B inserted from both sides with the same cross section shape. A high-water absorption resin layer 16 reversibly having the volume expansion property when it absorbs water is stuck on one side in the longitudinal direction of the rain gutter joint 10 as a sheet material. The high-water absorption resin layer 16 is overlapped on the eaves gutter A inserted into the rain gutter joint 10, it is nearly freely moved without receiving large friction resistance in the longitudinal direction when it is dry, and it absorbs water and is expanded and closely stuck to the eaves gutter A when water flows in a rain gutter. The thermal expansion/shrinkage of the rain gutter is absorbed and water is stopped concurrently.
