PURPOSE:To obtain quickly the concentration of a component in a sample and to enable highly-precise analysis of the component being free substantially from an effect of disturbance or noise, by determining the sum of relative absorbances each being a difference between a local peak value and a local valley value at plural points. CONSTITUTION:A comparing sample or a measuring sample is put in a cell 9, an infrared beam from a light source 4 is applied to the cell 9, and interferograms of the comparing sample and the measuring sample are measured in an addition average process element 11. In a Fourier transform process element 12, subsequently, these interferograms are subjected to Fourier transform respectively and thereby a power spectrum is obtained. Then, a spectrum computation element 13 determines the ratio of the power spectrum of the measuring sample to the power spectrum of background and converts it into an absorbance scale and thereby an absorption spectrum can be obtained. By conducting comparative computation by using the sum of relative absorbances, the concentration of each component can be estimated.
