AGENT FOR PREVENTING ADHESION OF CLAYEY SOIL AND GROUND EXCAVATION TECHNIQUE

PURPOSE:To prevent the adhesion of clayey soil by compounding a specific copolymer salt with a nonionic surfactant. CONSTITUTION:An agent for preventing the adhesion of clayey soil is obtained by compounding a 95-1wt.% nonionic surfactant (e.g. ethylene oxide adducts of higher alcohols) with a 5-99wt.% (co)polymer salt having a number-average degree of polymerization of 5,000 or below and a degree of neutralization of 50-100%, which is obtained by neutralizing a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing 70wt.% or more alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid (e.g. acrylic acid) and other unsaturated monomer (e.g. vinylsulfonic acid) with an alkali (ne earth) metal salt. An excavator is sprayed at its tip with the agent, or a 0.01-30wt.% aqueous solution of the agent is injected into a chamber or a screw conveyor.
