PURPOSE:To dispense with the use of a worm gear and a worm by providing a motor directly rotating an X-ray detector and a speed reducing means which sets the rotary ratio to 1/2. CONSTITUTION:When a rotary body 17 is rotated by a motor control system not shown in a drawing, an X-ray detector 6 is integrally rotated along with the rotary body through an arm 23 and, at the same time, a rotary shaft 9 is rotated in the same direction through a speed reducing mechanism 24. At this time, since the speed reducing ratio of the speed reducing mechanism 24 is set to 1/2, a spectral crystal 4 and an X-ray detector 6 are rotated in the ratio of 1 : 2 with the rotation of the rotary body 17 and, therefore, X-rays spectrally diffracted by the spectral crystal 4 can be detected while the Bragg diffraction condition is satisfied. An electromagnetic brake for locking the movement of the spectral crystal and the X-ray detector when the supply of a current to a motor not shown in the drawing is stopped is provided. Since the X-ray detector is directly rotated without using a worm gear and a worm, a lubricant becomes unnecessary and the maintenance of replenishment or covering is unnecessary and handling becomes extremely easy.
