MONOCLONAL ANTIBODY CAPABLE OF RECOGNIZING HBNP AND METHOD FOR MEASURING IMMUNITY OF HBNP USING THE SAME ANTIBODY

NEW MATERIAL:A monoclonal antibody capable of recognizing hBNP. USE:Useful in study of biosynthesis, intracellular modification and metabolism of hBNP (human brain sodium diuretic peptide) and capable of carrying out diagnosis of disease using increase and decrease of hBNP as an index. PREPARATION:A spleen cell of mouse immunized with a peptide having hBNP immune activity is fused with a myeloma cell to give a hybridoma and a hybridoma [e.g. Mouse Hybridoma KY-hBNP-I (FERM HP-2862)] capable of producing the above-mentioned monoclonal antibody is selected from the resultant hybridoma and the monoclonal antibody is produced from the above- mentioned hybridoma.
