SAND DISCHARGER FOR INTAKE EQUIPMENT IN MOUNTAIN STREAM

PURPOSE:To make the discharge of soil and sand deposited in a sand discharging pond easier by a method in which a sand-flash port if formed in the bottom of a sand sedimentation pond, and intake equipment of mountain stream, and an opening and closing mechanism is provided to the sand-flash port. CONSTITUTION:A sand-flash port 20 is provided in the bottom of the sand sedimentation pond 3, an intake equipment of mountain stream, and an opening and closing mechanism 24 incorporated with floats 46 and 40 is provided to the upper part of the port 20. An intake pipe 26 is then provided continuously to the mechanism 24. During the patrol inspection period, the water level of the intake amount of an intake device 48 is lowered by a worker and part of mountain stream water is supplied through an intake pipe 50 to the mechanism 24, whereupon the floats 36 and 40 rise up to open the port 20. Soil and sand deposited in the pond 3 can thus be discharged through a sand discharge pipe 56.
