VECTOR DRAWING AND RASTER DRAWING UNIFIED OPTICAL DISK FILING METHOD

PURPOSE:To efficiently use an equipment by discriminating vector drawings and raster drawings and adding vector/raster discrimination information and integrating and storing vector and raster drawings in an optical disk device. CONSTITUTION:Vector drawings and raster drawings are discriminated to add vector/rastor discrimination information, and they are integrated and stored in an optical disk device 4. Vector/raster discrimination information is used to freely retrieve vector drawings and raster drawings from an integrated data base, where vector drawings and raster drawings are stored together, by the same procedures. A vector drawing and a raster drawing are edited by a computer system while being individually or simultaneously displayed on a display device to allow the vector drawing and the raster drawing to exist together on one picture. When the raster drawing is corrected, the range of a correction position is designated and is erased, and a vector CAD system is used to correct this position.
