FIXER FOR BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL HAVING RAPID PROCESSABILITY AND PROCESSING METHOD USING THIS FIXER

PURPOSE:To maintain a sufficient fixing speed in spite of processing of the above photosensitive material for a short period of time and to lessen after- colors after the processing as well as to enhance the preservable property of silver images by using the prescribed fixer having a specific value or below of ammonimum ions. CONSTITUTION:This fixer is formed by incorporating =1 kinds of thiosulfate, thiocyanate and inorg. halide into the fixer and confining the ratio of the ammonia ratios to =50mol% of the total cations. The black and white photographic sensitive material is preferably processed by using this fixer and by using a roller transportation type automatic developing machine having the conditions corresponding to formulas I and II. In the formulas, l denotes the processing length (unit: m) of the photosensitive material and T denotes the time (unit: second) required for the photosensitive material passing the length l.
