PURPOSE:To enable to accumulate bills systematically in a simple structure, by composing a bill accumulating portion with a vaned belt, at the periphery of which plural flexible vanes are furnished, in a bill counting machine or the like. CONSTITUTION:When bills are carried from a pair of carrier belts 11a and 11b in a random timing, their tips are hit by vanes 14 of a rotating vaned belt 13 and they drop to a stop 16a along a support 16a of a tentative pool 16. By repeating this motion, newly carried bills are put into a space between the already accumulated bills 12a and the vaned belt 13, and accumulated systematically in the pool 16. In this case, even through tips of some bills are folded, they are stored in a space 17 between the flexible vanes 14, and their tips neither strike the bill bandle 12a nor disturb to accumulate smoothly. Therefore, bills can be accumulated systematically in a simple structure with an improved reliability.
