PURPOSE:A solution containing an organic liquid solute is made to contact with a fluid solvent, the fluid solvent is heated and decompressed to obtain a purified material containing the solute in high concentration and a decompressed fluid solvent, the latter component is compressing and reused in the first-stage process, and the generated heat is used as the heat source of the above process. CONSTITUTION:A solution containing an organic liquid solute (e.g. alcohol, ketone, etc.) is made to contact with a fluid solvent (e.g. CO2, ethane, etc.) to obtain an extracted mixture composed of the fluid solvent having increased solute content and an extraction residue having decreased solute content. The extracted mixture is heated by the heat-exchange with a part of energy generated in the latter compression stage and is decompressed to obtain a purified material containing the solute in high concentration and a decompressed fluid solvent having a solute content decreased to the level before extraction. Both components are separated from each other, and the decompressed fluid solvent is compressed. A part of the generated energy is used as the heat source of the above process, and the compressed fluid solvent cooled by the heat-exchange is reused as the fluid solvent in the first stage.
