PURPOSE:To measure the viscosity, yield value, stress relaxation, etc. of a viscous solution sample with easy operation by sampling the viscous solution into a thin pipe, inserting a magnetic rod into the thin pipe, and applying a magnetic field to the thin pipe to move the magnetic rod. CONSTITUTION:A viscous solution sample 6 is sampled into the thin pipe 3 and an air lock/electrode rod 7 is inserted into the thin pipe 3. A coil 13 is wound around the thin pipe 3 to generate a magnetic field. Then, a magnetic thin rod 8 is inserted into the thin pipe 3 and the position of the rod 8 is moved from 8 to 8' on the basis of magnetic attraction. The moving distance D and the moving time are measured to measure the viscous characteristic of the non-newton fluid such as the viscosity, yield value and stress relaxation. Since the magnetic rod is electrically moved in the viscous solution, the viscous characteristics of the non-newton fluid can be easily measured.
